Pricing & Booking

How much does a Polynesian tattoo cost?

Every project is unique, which is why I offer a personalized quote after a free video consultation. The price depends on size, placement, complexity and number of sessions needed. Contact me for your quote.

How do I book?

Contact me by email, WhatsApp or the contact form. After a free video consultation and receiving your personalized quote, a deposit (PayPal or bank transfer) confirms your date. Book at least 1 month in advance.

Is the deposit refundable?

Yes, the deposit is fully refundable if you cancel at least 1 week before the scheduled date.

What payment methods are accepted?

PayPal and bank transfer for the deposit. The balance can be paid by cash, transfer or PayPal on the day of the session.

How far in advance should I book?

Currently, allow at least 1 month. The busiest periods are September–October and April–May. The earlier you book, the more date options you'll have.

Are there any extra fees?

No. The quote includes everything: consultation, drawing, tattooing, inks, needles, Formybio healing balm and free touch-ups for life.

The Method: Freehand Drawing

Why do you draw directly on the skin?

Freehand drawing allows me to adapt every motif to your body shape in real time. The curves of your muscles, the shape of your limbs — everything is taken into account. The result is a piece that exists nowhere else, perfectly integrated with your body.

How does a session without stencils work?

On the day, I draw the motifs directly on your skin with sterile markers and disinfected resin rulers. We validate the placement and proportions together before starting the tattoo. It's a collaborative process.

Can I see the design before tattooing?

Yes, absolutely. The design is drawn on your skin before tattooing. You see exactly the result and we adjust together until you're 100% satisfied. Nothing is tattooed without your approval.

Do you use references or templates?

I draw inspiration from the entire Polynesian triangle (Tahiti, Hawaii, Samoa, New Zealand, Marquesas) and choose motifs based on your personal story and culture. Every symbol has a specific meaning.

Do you accept specific motif requests?

Yes, but I'm strict about cultural authenticity. Some motifs are reserved for specific ranks or stories. I guide you to find symbols that match your identity while respecting tradition.

The Session

How long does a session last?

A session lasts a full day at the studio (10am–7pm with breaks). Large pieces require 2 to 4 days, sometimes more for the most ambitious projects.

Does it hurt?

Tattooing always involves some pain, but tolerance varies by person and area. For multi-day sessions, I recommend sleeping well, eating and staying hydrated. Avoid alcohol 24 hours before.

How should I prepare?

Sleep well the night before. Eat a full meal before the session. Drink plenty of water in the days before. Wear comfortable, loose clothing. Avoid alcohol 24 hours before.

Can I take breaks during the session?

Of course. We take regular breaks to eat, drink and rest. The studio has a large terrace with sea view — ideal for decompressing between sessions.

What if I need to stop the session?

If a session needs to be interrupted for health or emergency reasons, we simply reschedule the rest. No extra fees.

Aftercare & Healing

What aftercare is needed?

I provide a Formybio healing balm (organic and vegan — the only certified organic product on the market) and a detailed care guide. Follow the instructions and your tattoo will heal perfectly.

Are touch-ups free?

Yes, touch-ups are free for life, even for international clients. If you pass through Marseille or I'm doing a guest spot near you, we schedule the touch-up.

How long does healing take?

Complete healing takes about 2 to 4 weeks. During this period, follow the care guide carefully: hydration, sun protection, no swimming.

The Studio

Where is the studio?

83 avenue de la Pointe Rouge, 13008 Marseille, France. A 130 m² studio with sea view, large terrace and 5 tattoo stations. Open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am–7pm.

Is the studio up to hygiene standards?

Absolutely. Up-to-date hygiene certification (renewed every 5 years). ARS registration (regional health agency). Studio insurance and professional liability. All equipment is sterile and single-use.

Are there other artists at the studio?

Yes, 4 independent artists work at the studio. I supervise the quality of all tattoos produced. The studio also hosts a piercer, nail artist, barber and photo studio.

Can I bring someone with me?

Yes, you can bring one person. The studio has a comfortable waiting area and a terrace with sea view.

Guest Spots & International

Do you work outside of Marseille?

Yes, I regularly do guest spots in Asia (Bangkok, Hong Kong, Beijing), UAE (Dubai), USA (Hawaii, New York), Australia (Sydney) and Europe (London, Berlin, Rome). Follow my travels on Instagram @moanatoa.

How do I book a guest spot?

Dates are announced on Instagram. Contact me as soon as they're announced as spots are limited (3 to 5 clients per city). Same process: video consultation + personalized quote + deposit.

Is the price the same for guest spots?

Guest spot pricing is slightly higher than studio rates as it includes travel, accommodation and host studio commission (30%). Contact me for a personalized quote based on the destination.

Do you bring your own equipment?

Always. I bring my machine, Kwadron Inx inks, OG needles and all necessary sterile equipment. Quality is identical to the Marseille studio.
